[...] Mariam from Money Relations tells us her thoughts on social networking and how she is going to apply social media to her online life. Mariam claims that she is “trying” to learn social media, and she posted her profile so if anyone wants to help her out and bring her into your social networking “community” if you will, check out her blog and add her as a friend.
I never really got too much into social networking either, outside of networking with real people that I know, or used to know and are just "keeping in touch". I did try Ryze business networking at one point and while I see a lot of potential in it, I didn't really get into it either.

I think the closest I am to online social networking right now is BlogCatalog. I find that I am constantly networking with other bloggers through that website and it has paid off pretty good--the community is very nice. While it is advertised as a blog directory, it really is basically just like a social network.

I'm also getting more into the social networking aspect of social bookmarking websites but as for the "normal" social networks (myspace, facebook, etc.), I have profiles but don't use them too much.
