Serving a can of whoop-ass

Hello, stranger! New here? How about subscribing to my RSS feed? Thanks for visiting!
I have a project at work and we have brought in some consultants to help with our very tight deadlines. This always makes me chuckle to see how people react to me. Let’s just say that I don’t exactly cut an intimidating figure.
I’m petite, look very young and I still get carded in bars. And looking at my blogging style, well, that pretty much sums up my personality.
What grates on my nerves is the fact that I get patronized. A lot.
“When we put this new system in, it will really help you progress in your career”.
Oh, really now? Just let me get my hands on it so I can break it and wipe that smugness off your face.
I really don’t know what to make of this. On the one hand, I’m satisfied with where I am professionally. On the other hand, maybe I’m limiting myself since people don’t take me seriously at first glance.
I feel like I’m an undercover rogue operative infiltrating enemy lines to later turn on them.

This is a shame as I am extremely open-minded to solutions with no ego involved. However, when people try to make a power-play on me, they are just begging for an ass-whooping.
On the bright side, I am respected by the people who work with me. They know better than to piss me off ![]()

Ugh, I know how you feel! But, at least your regular work colleagues show you respect and you may have to prove yourself to newcomers but when you get the job done impressively, you are allowed to be smug about it. Or you could just kick their ass…either way works for me
I say: use your great wit to skewer any presumptuous twit at every opportunity!
We had another meeting the afternoon I posted this and wow, I thought WWIII had broken out. Luckily, I wasn’t in the line of fire.
The more you run your mouth off, the more stupid you look when you make mistakes and can’t deliver.
It’s nice I didn’t have to point that out
