Hi AP,

Yes, Vic was the one that introduced me and I have to say that I like the concept very much of niche sites and BANs. In fact, I think it captures the right amount of energy that people are willing to give if people are honest with their expectations. At the beginning, people are all gung-ho about a project and then they lose interest. If it's a blog, then that's the death nail if you want to make money off it. That's why I choose projects that will optimize my time even if I quit :) This blog helps me with my financial literacy and work intangibles should I ever decide I've had enough.

As for BANS and content niches, after I have properly selected my keywords, done enough promoting, I like the fact that I only have to maintain them afterwards. Perfect for someone that has a short attention span and is looking for the next bright idea.

So far, I've only got lunch money back for my endeavors and I'm still in the hole with the tools I bought but I'm still in better shape than OMG... ;) Good luck to Marc as I'm sensing he's realized that he was had and it would have been better to just dabble in different things first than to throw himself head long into a tough, tough market.

Thanks for dropping by, AP.

Hi Mariam,

As Promised, I cam to check out your blog after reading your comment on OMG. I have to say I like both your writing style and open appraoch to different subjects. After spending a year in TO I am also very pro-canadian and therefore wish you all the best with this venture.

Do you use bans yourself??? and if so was it though BU that you started this? I have been using bans for some time now but it was Vic that opened my eyes as to it's true potential. I now have close to 70 sites up and running and can therefore vouch that it is indeed possible to make money online!

I'll be back :)

Thanks.

Hi James

I think it's a hit or miss with blogs. Let's look at John Chow. He spends very little time on his blog (or so he claims). I wouldn't follow his advice with MMO because he already got his notoriety and that's hard to duplicate. Didn't he say he was going to go incognito and make another blog? I haven't heard anything about it.

Since it's a hit or miss nature to make true money from blogging, I keep this one as a hobby blog - plus, I don't feel pressure to write when I don't have time.

I do have to say that the BANS do make money and it's a formula you can replicate it over, and over again. I'm really happy with the results and once you've got the keyword selections sorted out, you just have to maintain it. Great passive income and Vic really opened my eyes to a lot of things.

I can honestly say I have made money online through my blogging efforts and to a lesser extent with affiliate programs. I can't quit my regular job yet but anything worth doing takes time. With blogging, you just have to do what you love and be passionate about it. I think if you focus on that, the money will be there eventually. I document on a monthly basis my earnings if you are interested. I'm not making "John Chow" kind of money...but even he started small.

Hey krystal,

I've just become ad blind to all that :) I do have to say that I have applied some of what Vic says and I have made money - not enough to break even yet but I think he's onto something here... If you want to be successful with what he's promoting, you have to invest in the software. He's a quantity type of guy and the sheer mass of your network portfolio will get you the results. If you're not serious about it, then it's a waste of time and money, no matter how small the amount.

As Yoda says, "do or not do... there is no try".
